Judith E. Larkin, 89, of Childs, PA, died peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel A. Larkin, Jr. on March 27, 2011.

Born November 18, 1934 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Charlotte Schermerhorn McDonough.

Judy was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and had previously worked at Ames Shower Curtin, Vandling. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Carbondale. Judy was an avid sports fan and attended many local sporting events at Russell Park and area high schools. She especially enjoyed watching golf tournaments on television.

The family would like to thank the Cottage Hose Ambulance Company for their kind and compassionate services to Judy over the past couple of years.

She is survived by three sons: Daniel A. Larkin, III. of Carbondale, PA, John F. Larkin of Jermyn, PA and Matthew Larkin and wife, Darlene of Dickson City, PA; one daughter: Diane Berta of Carbondale, PA; three grandchildren: Randee Berta, Alyssa Harvey and Derek Shuta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Donna Randazzo; seven brothers: Robert, Harold, Thomas, Donald, Bernard, Joseph and Gerard "Jack"; and one sister: Patricia Panzitta.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, PA. Entombment: Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.

Pallbearers: Donald McDonough, Donald McDonough, Jr., Daniel Lopes, Harry Smith, Kip Conforti and Joseph Falbo with Honor Guard by Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians.

A viewing was held Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the church.
