Josephine Whitcomb, 104, of New York, NY, died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the ArchCare at Mary Manning Walsh Home, New York. She was the wife of the late Charles B. Whitcomb, who died on July 24, 1979. Born May 10, 1911 in Archbald, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kasimier and Theophila Rogosinski Zabielski. She was a hostess in the restaurant business for many years. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by a son: Charles J. Whitcomb. Private inurnment was held at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Local arrangements were under the care of the Edward A. Wade Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
