Josephine Bogusinski, 98, formerly of Hop Bottom, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Barnes Kasson Skilled Nursing, Susquehanna, PA. Born February 23, 1916 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Yankowski Bogusinski. She retired from the Bendix Corporation in March of 1978. Being proud of her polish heritage, she had traveled to Poland to visit relatives. She enjoyed listening to Polkas and Lawrence Welk. On her 98th birthday, she welcomed her great great nephew, Cash Arturs from Latvia and enjoyed their visits together. Her favorite television shows were The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie and her favorite holiday was Christmas. She is survived by niece and caregiver, Leona Bennett of Kingsley, PA; great nephew, Chad Bennett of Kingsley, PA; great niece, Lisa Barhight and great great nephew, Cash Arturs Barhight both of Kingsley, PA; Other survivors include nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving sibling having been preceded in death by her brothers, Stephen, Stanley and Joseph Bogusinski; her sisters, Helen Mazurkiwicz and Mary Pedrosa. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA, officiated by Rev. Russell Lockwood.
