Josephine M. Arnone, age 91, a resident of Wesley Village, Pittston, PA. and formerly of South Main Street, Pittston, PA., died Saturday afternoon, February 7, 2009 at Wesley Village. Born February 12, 1917 in Pittston, PA., she was the daughter of the late Gaspare and Maria (Mule') Arnone.She attended Pittston Schools and was a member of St. Rocco's Church, Pittston. She worked for many years as a seamstress at Lee Manufacturing and retired from Leslie Fay, both of Pittston. The family wishes to express their appreciation and heartfelt thanks to Dr. Guy Fasciana, the staff at Wesley Village and the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassion, exceptional care and kindness.She is survived by one sister: Mary DeMarco of Pheonix, AZ.: nephew and caregiver: Sam Arnone, Jr. of Pittston, PA; niece: Ann Marie Arnone of Dallas, PA.; several other nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by four brothers: Jasper, Joseph, Sam, Sr. and John Arnone; two sisters: Rose Reggie and Margaret Arnone.The funeral was held Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 9:00 AM from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Avenue, Exeter, PA., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Rocco's Church, Oak Street, Pittston, celebrated by Rev. Paul A. McDonnell, O.S.J. Interment, parish cemetery, Pittston Township, PA. Friends called Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 7-9 pm.Funeral Arrangements were entrusted under the care of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
