Joseph J. Vosefski, Sr., 89, of Scott Township, PA, died Thursday morning, May 11, 2023 at home.

Born December 16, 1933 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna Konosky Vosefski.

He was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY. He was a veteran of the Army having served during the Korean War. Joe had been employed by Grumman Aerospace, Bethpage, NY, and upon his retirement he moved back to the area and settled on a farm which he enjoyed taking care of. His constant companion was his dog, Rosie.

He is survived by two sons: Joseph Vosefski, Jr., and Alan Vosefski; two daughters: Sharon Vosefski and Ann Sullivan; one sister: Dolores Kelly; two brothers: Walter Vosefski and Albert Vosefski; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one sister: Louise Moran; and four brothers: Andrew, John, Francis and Richard Vosefski.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
