Obituary

Joseph B. Roskosky, 71, of Carbondale, PA., died Monday morning, March 21, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Route 115, Cochecton Center, NY. He was the husband of the former Janice Clark. They were married May 5, 1962. Born October 31, 1939 in Simpson, PA., he was the son of the late Joseph and Regina (Pieczkoski) Roskosky. He was a graduate of the Fell Township High School, Simpson and was a member of St. Michael's Church, Simpson. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a waiter at the Concord Resort Hotel, Lake Kiamesha, NY. for over 35 years. He is survived by two brothers: Stanley Roskosky of Wayne, NJ. and Anthony Roskosky of Oak Ridge, NJ.; one sister: Carolyn Cohen of Glen Rock, NJ.; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son and an infant daughter; two brothers: Richard and Walter Roskosky. The funeral was held Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 9:30 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Michael's Church, 46 Midland Street, Simpson, celebrated by Rev. Joseph Sitko, pastor. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford. Friends called Friday, March 25, 2011 from 5-7 PM. Pallbearers: Anthony Roskosky, Tony Roskosky, James Roskosky, Daniel Roskosky, Stash Roskosky and Paul McDonald.
