Joseph J. Paone, Jr., 74, of Jermyn, PA,, died Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Plains Township, PA. His wife is the former Ann Marie Ruane. They were married September 13, 1985. Born January 27, 1944 in Archbald, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph J., Sr. and Yolanda Grace Corsaletti Paone. Joseph was a 1962 graduate of Archbald High School and served in the Army National Guard. He worked for seven years at the Archbald Service Center, two years at Scott Electronics, Archbald, and 43 years at Lockheed Martin, Archbald, prior to his retirement. He was a member of the The American Legion, Post 0869, Archbald, was an over 50 year member and past President and Treasurer for over 30 years of the Mount Vernon Rod and Hunting Club, Archbald. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Steelers fan. He is survived by two daughters: Tammy Ann Kelly and husband Christopher of Pocono Lake, PA and Denise Lynn Paone and husband Edward Ricci of Jacksonville, FL; one step daughter: Colleen Brunges and husband James of Montrose, PA; five grandchildren: Caleb and Joshua Brozina, Lorelle and James Paul Kowalski and Brieanna Brunges; two great grandchildren: Magnolia Dae Marie Race and Leno re LeVera Wisniewski; one sister: Rosemarie Crocker of Stephens City, VA. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Lora Whitman Paone; a step son: Joseph Brozina; and a step granddaughter: Jasmine Brozina. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, August 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, PA. Interment with military honors, St. Rose Cemetery, Carbondale, PA. Pallbearers: Christopher Kelly, Brandon Race, Edward Ricci, James Brunges, Fred Whitman and James Kowalski. Friends called Monday, August 13, 2018 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA.
