Joseph L. Messinger, age 57, of Salem Township, PA, died Friday, July 4, 2014 at the Columbia Montour Home Hospice, Danville, PA, after a short battle with cancer. Born January 24, 1957 in Easton, PA, he is the son of Evelyn C. (Tomaino) Messinger of St. Petersburg, FL and the late Maynard A. Messinger. Joseph was a truck driver for 14 years and also worked as a blue seal engineer for many hospitals. He is survived by one son: Michael J. Snyder of Nazareth, PA; two brothers: David A. Messinger and Ronald M. Messinger. He was preceded in death by one brother: Kevin W. Messinger. As per his request, he was cremated and no services to be held. Cremation arrangements were under the care of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
