Joseph C. Megivern, 67, of Harford Township, PA, died early Tuesday morning, March 15, 2022 at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with leukemia. Born June 19, 1954 in Honesdale, PA, he was the son of the late Bernard and Agnes Stiles Megivern. Known for his hard work ethic, Joe had been employed at Baldwin Stone Company, Kingsley, PA, for 35 years. His grandchildren called him Grandpa Joe and they were his pride and joy in life. He is survived by wife, Linda Megivern; two daughters: Jeanette Mackey and husband, Glen of Nicholson, PA and Erin Ferris and husband, Justin who are stationed at Fort Dix, NJ; four grandchildren: Hadley Mackey, Holden Mackey, Silas Mackey and Dominic Ferris; Joe was anxiously waiting the birth of another grandson in July; one brother: Benny Megivern and wife, Georgia of Greenfield Township, PA; a sister-in-law: Cathy Megivern of Thompson, PA; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Megivern. Viewing hours were held Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA. Interment was private at the Maplewood Cemetery, Kingsley, PA.
