Joseph A. Dombrosky, age 78, of Carbondale, PA., died unexpectedly Thursday morning, January 24, 2008 at home. His wife of 59 years is the former Lois Stevens. Born August 14, 1929 in Honesdale, PA., he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Murtha) Dombrosky. He was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School in Carbondale and was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a survivor of the September 11, 1950 railroad crash with the 109th Field Artillery of Pennsylvania National Guard. Prior to retirement, he worked as a truck driver for 35 years at Fowler Williams Trucking Company in Scranton, PA. He was a member of the Teamsters and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He is survived by five daughters: Lucille Lynady of Las Vegas, NV., Patricia husband Michael Coyle of Carbondale, PA., Mary husband Lynn Bennett of Clifford, PA., Margaret husband Richard Colosimo of Carbondale, PA. and Kim Marie husband David Kilmer of Clifford, PA.; one son: Mark Dombrosky of Carbondale, PA.; three sisters: Patricia Murzynsky of Florida; Lynda Wargo of Johnson City, NY. and Karen Dombrosky of Carbondale, PA.; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother: Thomas Dombrosky; one sister: Mary Bonacci. A blessing service was held Monday, January 28, 2008 at 10:30 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA., celebrated by Rev. William D. Campbell, senior priest of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, PA. Interment with military honors, Clifford Valley Cemetery, Clifford, PA. Friends called Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 4-8 PM. Pallbearers: Mike Coyle, Jessie Weller, Jason Lynady, Chad Lynady, Dave Kilmer, Jimmy Colosimo and Joey Bennett.
