Joseph A. Barbara, Jr., 47, of Clarks Summit, PA., died Thursday morning, September 29, 2011 at the Hampton House, Hanover Township, PA., after a tragic brain injury.
Born November 11, 1963 in Norfolk, VA., he was the son of Joseph A. and Ann (Orazi) Barbara, Sr. of Clarks Summit, PA.
He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Norfolk, VA. and had served in the Army for six years. For the past ten years he was a self employed painting contractor.
Joey was taught to fish by his great grandfather and was an avid fisherman. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Joey had a big heart and a sweet soul.

He is survived by one son: Joseph Barbara and wife Chelsea of Asheville, NC.; one granddaughter: Marley Barbara; one sister: Sherry Dean of Clarks Summit, PA.; one brother: Terry Pierce Dean of Kingsport, TN.; paternal grandmother: Betty Barbara of Sonoma, CA.; two aunts: Margaret McIntosh of Scranton, PA. and Marian Ramariz of Sonoma, CA.; one niece: Victoria Gullone.
He was preceded in death by one son: Joshua Barbara; maternal grandparents: Gus and Fran Orazi; one uncle: Dante Orazi, III.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
