Joseph J. Auditori, 74, of Honesdale, PA, died peacefully Sunday morning, November 26, 2017 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, the former Roseann Scarpelli. Born March 23, 1943 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late John and Frances Domiano Auditori. Joe was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and had been employed for over 30 years as a produce manager for several grocery stores in Clifford, Carbondale and Honesdale. His true passion was music and he was a 17 year member of Joey Jay and Company, a popular area band that played many local weddings and parties. Joe enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, loved classic cars and had a vast collection of miniature classic car models. He was voted most artistic in high school and his talent was evident in his music, as well as, his ability to decorate both the inside of his home and the designing of his outdoor landscaping. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. He is also survived by two daughters: Alissa Tiel and husband Seth of Honesdale, PA and JoAnn Blackledge and husband Paul of Blakely, PA; two grandchildren: John Joseph and Molly Rose Blackledge; three sisters: Susie Donato of Bloomingdale, NJ, Anna Auditori and Dolly Davis and husband Jim all of Carbondale, PA; several nieces and nephews; his beloved grand dog: Winnie. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Anthony and Nicholas Auditori; one sister: Mary Auditori. The funeral was held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from Edward A. Wade Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Morris Place at Terrace Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, con-celebrated by Rev. James Price, C.P., pastor and Rev. Marek Wasilewski, assistant pastor of St. Mary Magdalen Church, Honesdale, PA. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Seth Tiel, Paul Blackledge, James Wiggins, Phil Donato, Paul McGinniss and Sean McGinniss.
