Jose M. Santos, 49, of Carbondale, PA., died Tuesday morning, April 22, 2008 at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Carmen Santos.
Born December 12, 1958 in Havana, Cuba, he is the son of Florencia (Gonzalez) Santos, of Carbondale and the late Teofilo Santos.
He was a self employed truck driver for the past 14 years and was of the Roman Catholic faith. His passion and hobby were motorcycles and cars. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Marian Community Hospital for the special care given to Jose.
He is survived by three daughters: Joyce Santos of Carbondale, PA., Michelle Santos of Oakland, NJ. and Ann Marie Santos of Carbondale, PA.; one granddaughter: Gabriella Pedraza of Oakland, NJ.; two step sons: Roland and Emmanuel Victoria, both of Massachuttes. The funeral was held Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 8:30 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Monsignor Joseph G. Quinn, pastor. Cremation followed at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.
Friends called Friday, April 25, 2008 from 2-4 7-9 PM. Pallbearers: Emmanuel Victoria, Ben Norton, Pepe Gonzalez and Jose A. Gonzalez.
