Jorge Luis Valentin, 73, of Carbondale, PA, died Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. PA, after an illness.

Born May 14, 1951 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Daniel and Irma Perez Valentin.

Jorge was valued employee of Friendly Tire in Margate, FL, having retired after 30 years of service as a tire technician. He enjoyed watching T.V., especially How It's Made and Little House on the Prairie while eating his favorite snack, Oreo's.

Jorge is survived by his six loving children: George Valentin and partner, Jane Hamilton of Pompano Beach, FL, Wilfredo Valentin and wife, Tammy Carmona of Scranton, PA, Tracie Valentin and partner, Tom Swendsen of Carbondale, PA, Doniela Valentin and partner, Elaine Trefurt of Simpson, PA, Christina Valentin and partner, Eric Romeo of Bethany, PA and Hope Navarro of New York, NY; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Nancy Rivera and husband, William of Florida and Mary Beth Valentin and partner, Nathaniel McCray of Florida; one brother: Edgardo Valentin of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: Nicole Valentin; and a sister: Carmen Gladys Garcia.

Viewing hours were held on Jorge's birthday, Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA.
