John A. Zadjura, age 65, of Greenfield Township, PA., died Friday morning, August 20, 2010 at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore, PA., after a lengthy illness.
Born March 11, 1945 in Scranton, PA., he was the son of the late Andrew and Rose (Brelish) Zadjura.
He was a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542 and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by one daughter: Pam Granahan and husband Joseph of Roaring Brook, PA.; one son: John B. Zadjura and wife Saran of Mt. Lebanon, PA.; two sisters: Joan Fendrock and husband Joseph of Simpson, PA. and Gloria Cavage of Nazareth, PA.; step brothers: Bill, Tommy and Jake Lopatofsky and other step siblings of the Lopatofsky family; three grandchildren: Richard and Krista McGarry, both of Roaring Brook, PA. and Westin Zadjura of Mt. Lebanon, PA.; nephews: Joseph and Paul Fendrock and other nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service was held Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Montdale, PA.
Arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA.
