John Harris Whitmore, age 89, of Binghamton, NY, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Meadow View Senior Living Center, Montrose, PA. His wife was the late Diana R. Whitmore. Born March 1, 1925 in Coin, IA, he was the son of the late Glenn Meredith and Mabel (Harris) Whitmore. He was a former resident of Coin, Iowa and had been employed in research and development with Metrology, Inc., prior to his retirement. He is survived by many family members and friends. As per his request, he was cremated and no services were held. Cremation arrangements were under the care of Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
