John E. Fuzzy Snyder, Jr., age 74, of Lenoxville, PA., died early Sunday morning, October 5, 2008 at the Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA., due to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) complications. His wife of 51 years is the former Nancy Correll. Born October 31, 1933 in Uniondale, PA., he was the son of the late John, Sr. and Inez (Yarns) Snyder. He spent most of his life as a self employed truck driver and owned his own excavating business. He also worked for Penn DOT. Fuzzy enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also spent many happy hours touring the country with his wife in their motor home. He will be remembered as a man of kind generosity and a willingness to help those in need. He is survived by two daughters: Judy Kelley Casterline of Owego, NY. and Tami Snyder of Dundaff, PA.; two sons: Donald Kelley, Sr. wife Tanya of Lenoxville, PA. and Thomas Snyder, Sr. of Tennessee; one sister: Margaret Peg Loder; one brother: Lloyd Snyder wife Ruth Anne; ten grandchildren: Judy Lee, Donald Kelley, Jr., TJ, Amanda, Suzanne, Daisy John Snyder, Ashley Brittany Ransom an Elijah Zimmerman; one great granddaughter: Mallory Clary; several nieces nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers: William and Richard Snyder. The funeral was held Thursday, October 9, 2008, at 11:00 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, PA., with Pastor Peg Knapich, of the Lenoxville and Clifford United Methodist Churches, officiating. Interment, South Gibson Cemetery, South Gibson, PA. Friends called Wednesday, October 8, 2008 from 7-9 PM.
