John K. "Muck" Mucksavage, 63, of Carbondale, PA, died October 24, 2024 at University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, after a lengthy illness.

Born December 12, 1960 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late John J. and Regina Jablonowski Mucksavage. Muck was a 1979 graduate of Carbondale Area High School and Johnson Technical Institute in Scranton, where he studied Carpentry. He was employed as a carpenter for several area construction companies. Muck enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and listening to music, especially The Beatles. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be fondly remembered as an adventurous person who always enjoyed life and for his great sense of humor. Muck could always be counted on for a funny story.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Kristy Hendrickson; several cousins and many friends.

The funeral was held Thursday, November 21, 2024 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 N. Church Street, Carbondale, PA, celebrated by Rev. Seth Wasnock, pastor. Interment, St. Anthony's Cemetery, Forest City, PA.

Viewing hours were held Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at Edward A. Wade Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Morris Place, Carbondale, PA.
