John J. Jackie Molinaro, Sr., 57, of Carbondale, PA., died Monday morning, September 25, 2006 at the Beverly Health Care Center, Scranton, PA., following a short illness.
Born November 6, 1948 in Carbondale, PA., he is the son of Theresa (Kerins) Molinaro of Carbondale and the late Constantino Custy Molinaro.
He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church and was a 1966 graduate of St. Rose High School both of Carbondale. He also graduated from Penn State University with a Civil Engineering degree. He retired as a Civil Engineer from PennDot where he received many awards for his bridge designs and later worked for Ceco Engineering Company in Scranton for many years.
He loved music, singing, riding his chopper, driving his 1932 Buick and was a gifted artist. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son and brother who will be dearly missed by his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by one daughter: Marjorie Runco of Olyphant, PA.; two sons: John Molinaro, Jr. and Kevin Molinaro both of Anchorage, AK.; four sisters: Marianne Wisniewski of Olyphant, PA., Nancy Bucklaw of Mayfield, PA., Tina O'Hara of Newton Lake, PA. and Rose Marie Fotia of Hilton Head Island, SC.; one brother: Frank Molinaro of Greenfield Township, PA.;
Three granddaughters: Mariah, McKenzie Maranda Runco all of Olyphant, PA.;
Several Nieces Nephews
He was preceded in death by one nephew: Gregory Fotia
The funeral was held Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township.
Friends called Wednesday, September 27, 2006 from 6-9 PM.
