John J. Moran, 74, of Carbondale, died Friday morning, October 25, 2013 at Regional Hospital, Scranton, PA. Born May 17, 1939 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late John J. and Helen Doyle Moran. He is survived by five children: John J. Moran, III., of Waymart, PA., Jeffrey Moran of Clarks Summit, PA., Jillanne Moran of California, Janine and Judy Moran both of Florida; one sister: Janet Steinmiller of Lehigh Acres, FL.; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four siblings: Judy Conlin, Joel, Jerome and James Moran. As per John's request he was cremated and no services were held. Arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
