John C. Dippel, 69, of Dalton, PA, died Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA.
Born December 11, 1946 in Peckville, PA, he was the son of the late Chester Louis and Margaret Middleton Dippel.
Jack was the owner and operator of Jack Dippel Auto Sales, Dalton and was a member of the Army National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his corvettes and was of the Catholic faith. The family would like to thank Ronald Hackman for his friendship to Jack and also the Waverly United Methodist Church for their generous donation.
He is survived by one son: Dion Dippel of Scott Township, PA; one brother: Gerald J. Dippel, Sr. and wife Pauline of Dalton, PA; two nephews: Gerald J. Dippel, Jr. and wife Kimberly and Jeffrey J. Dippel, all of Dalton, PA; one niece: Jacqueline S. Gardner and husband Daniel of Dalton, PA. A blessing service was held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA. Friends called Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 1-3 p.m.
