John "Jack" Case, 80, of Clifford Township, PA, died Friday morning, October 20, 2017 at home after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Barbara A. Dobak.
Born April 10, 1937 in Waymart, PA, he was the son of the late Leon and Hazel Wells Case.
Jack was a retired mechanic having worked on heavy equipment for most of his life. He enjoyed attending tractor shows, listening to old radio programs and tinkering with cars well into his retirement. He was an avid New York Giants and NASCAR fan and was known for his great sense of humor. Jack's greatest joy in life was being surrounded by his family.
He is survived by three daughters: Bernice Bagasevich and husband James of Scranton, PA, Diane Kochmer and husband Paul of Clifford, PA and Janet Corey and husband James of Greenfield Township, PA; one sister: Barbara Case of Clifford Township, PA; two brothers: Richard "Dick" and Frederick "Butch" Case both of Clifford Township, PA; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA.
A private funeral for family was held Thursday morning, October 26, 2017 from the Clifford Baptist Church, with Pastor Bonnie Resseguie, officiating. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA.
