John D. Bradford, age 70, of Scranton, PA. and formerly of Queens, NY., died Sunday morning , September 2, 2007 in the emergency room at Mercy Hospital, Scranton. His wife is the former Helen Wertenstein. Born August 12, 1937 in New York, NY., he was the son of Charles and Dorothy (Donovan) Bradford. He worked in the maintenance department for the New York Triboro Bridge and Tunnel. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 9:45 AM in St. Virgilius Church, Broad Channel, NY. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, NY. Friends called Tuesday, September 4, 2007 and Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 2-5 7-9 PM at the Hillebrand Funeral Home, Inc., 1238 Cross Bay Boulevard, Broad Channel, NY. Local arrangements were entrusted under the care of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA.
