John Lolyn Beeman, 75, of Clifford, PA, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 22, 2020 of congestive heart failure. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lolyn Merritt Beeman and Eleanor Louise Sterling Beeman.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 53 years, Rena Ann Horton Beeman; his daughters: Marlo Beeman, Melissa Hansen and husband, Eric, and Melanie Rechenberger and husband, Erik; his granddaughters: Katherine Albiston and husband, Forrest, Kora Hansen, Kallen Hansen, and Kensington Hansen; his great granddaughter: Jane Albiston; his siblings: T.J. Beeman and wife, MaryAnn, Sue Nudd and husband, Bruce, Tom Beeman, Bill Beeman and wife, Ginny, Guy Beeman and wife, Barbara, Mildred Fetterman and husband, Walt and Bryce Beeman and wife, Cindy; as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his dog, Y-Shu and his cat, Alby.
John was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy for 14 years. He retired from Hall Construction in 2007. He enjoyed gardening, operating ham radio, and sitting on his porch at the lake with his grand-pups, Nelson and Nahla. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for nearly 50 years, serving in multiple volunteer capacities during that time. As a last act of service, he was a tissue donor through Gift of Life.
A private viewing was held from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations were made to your favorite charity.
