It is with sadden hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our mom, Joann Dobson, 66, of Great Bend, PA, on July 18, 2025.

Born May 30, 1959 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dolores Hackett Dyosky.

Joann was a dedicated registered nurse having spent her career working at several area hospitals and institutions in both Pennsylvania and New York. As a loving mom she took great joy in seeing her boys in their later years as they started to form their lives. Joann's generosity had no bounds. Anyone who visited her home never left empty handed as she loved to load her guests up with all her household supply's she purchased on her Amazon shopping sprees.

Her boys will fondly remember their mom's loving and giving heart and her faith left an impression on them as they grew up. They always knew they were loved and prayed for. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her two loving sons: Jesse Dobson and wife, Julianne of Lancaster, PA, and James Dobson of Archbald, PA.

She was also preceded in death by her brother: Joseph Dyosky; and her former husband: Lee Alan Dobson, Jr.

A memorial service was held Friday, July 25, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. from the Elkdale Baptist Church, 45 State Route 2014, Clifford Township, PA, with Rev. Frank Bissol, pastor, officiating. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery, Great Bend, PA.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
