Joan C. Peduto, 89, of Greenfield Township, PA, died Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton, PA. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Peduto who died June 7, 2003. They were married April 21, 1951.
Born March 13, 1932 in Fell Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Lorraine Trotter Lynch.
Joan was a 1950 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, PA, and completed a beautician program. She was a hairstylist for 22 years at Allied Services before her retirement.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Clarks Summit Senior Living and Allied Services Hospice for their patient and compassionate attendance through Joan's final years.
She is survived by two granddaughters: Emily Angelina Peduto and Karly Zindle, both of Greenfield Township, PA; daughter-in-law: Beth Haiges-Peduto of Greenfield Township, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son: Michael J. Peduto, Jr.; brother: John Lynch, Jr. and three sisters: Edna Galanis, Veva Lynch and Nancy White.
The funeral was held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. from Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, State Route 106, Royal, PA, celebrated by Rev. Michael J. Kirwin, pastor. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Pallbearers: John Lynch, David Lynch, David Lynch, Jr., John Lynch, IV., Pam Miller and Penny Galanis.
