Joan C. Klosky, 70, of Carbondale, PA. and Vero Beach, FL., died suddenly on Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at her home in Florida.
Born March 8, 1940 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Sophie (Calafut) Klosky.
She was a graduate of St. Rose Schools and the Lackawanna Business College in Scranton. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale and the Carbondale Historical Society. She had been employed for many years as a secretary at District Court 45-3-03 in Carbondale, having worked for District Magistrates Mary McAndrew and Sean McGraw.
She enjoyed traveling and spending at her home in Florida.
She is survived by one sister: Nancy Falong of Palisades Park, NJ.; two nephews: Robert Falong of Florida and Ronald Falong of New Hampshire; one great niece: Samantha Falong of Florida.
The funeral was held Monday, January 10, 2010 at 8:30 AM from the Edward A. Wade Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Morris Place at Terrace Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 N. Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Msgr. David L. Tressler, pastor. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
