Jo Anne R. Clarke, formerly of Clarks Summit, PA., died Thursday afternoon, June 3, 2010 at Allied Skilled Nursing, Scranton, PA. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Clarke who died July 4, 1999. Born January 19, 1926 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Grace (Pullman) Rinaldi. She was raised in Carbondale and had resided in Clarks Summit for many years. She was previously employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in their data processing department and was a member of Our Lady of Snows Church in Clarks Summit. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her great granddaughter Alexis. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of floor three north at Allied Skilled Nursing for the kind and compassionate care given to Jo Anne. She is survived by one daughter: Joyce DeLonti of Scott Township, PA.; one son: David M. Coleman of Manassas, VA.; two grandchildren: Emmette Coleman of Manassas, VA. and Renee Portonova of Scott Township, PA.; one great granddaughter: Alexis Portonova of Scott Township, PA.; one brother: Raymond Rinaldi of Wilkes Barre, PA.; one sister: Rita Watson of Canada; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Elena Rinaldi and Santina Matichak; four brothers: Joseph, Michael, Armond and Edward Rinaldi. A private blessing services was held Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, with Msgr. James McGarry, pastor of Our Lady of Snows Church, Clarks Summit, officiating. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
