Jerry N. Rosemellia, age 76, of Jermyn, PA., died Tuesday morning, October 11, 2005 at the Asera Hospice Inpatient Unit at Mid-Valley Hospital, Peckville, PA. His wife is the former Rose Vadala. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 1.
Born September 21, 1929 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Clara (Greto) Rosemellia.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Jermyn and was a graduate of the Mayfield High School Class of 1948. He was an Army veteran and was proud of his service to his country. Prior to his retirement he was a sheet metal worker at Cross Engineering in Carbondale.

He is survived by one daughter: Gina Tolerico of Carbondale, PA.; two sons: Patrick Rosemellia of Mayfield, PA. and Jerry Rosemellia of Carbondale Township, PA.; three sisters: Joann Vadala of Syracuse, NY., Margaret Novitsky of Allamuchy, NJ. and Clair Fofi of Syracuse, NY.; one brother: James Rosemellia of Syracuse, NY.; 6 Grandchildren; Several Nieces Nephews
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Cyril and John Rosemellia; two sisters: Mary Bowman and Nancy Rosemellia
The funeral was held Friday, October 14, 2005 at 9:45 am from the familys residence located at 720 Lincoln Avenue, Jermyn, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Sacred Heart of Mary's Church, 622 Madison Avenue, Jermyn, celebrated by Rev. James Walsh, pastor. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Mayfield.
Friends called Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 2-4 6-8 pm at the familys residence. Pallbearers: Michael Rosemellia (Grandson), Joseph Vadala, James, Carmen, Jerry, Patrick and Anthony Rosemellia (All Nephews). Military services were conducted by the Carbondale Area Veterans Honor Guard.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted under the care of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA.
