Obituary

Jerry Lewandowski, 77, of Clifford Township, PA, died Friday, May 1, 2026 at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton, PA, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Victoria Bandonis Lewandowski. They were married June 22, 1974.

Born March 23, 1949 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Walter R. Lewandowski, Sr. and Elizabeth Mott Lewandowski.

Jerry was a 1967 graduate of Mountain View High School and attended Drexel University where he was a member of Lambda Chi Fraternity, but left after 2 years to pursue his career in construction. He worked for L.D. Tracy and Son Construction, Harford, PA, prior to owning and operating Lewandowski Construction for 48 years.

Jerry had a love for sports, bird watching, puzzle solving and his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball and was an avid skier and Indy Car Racing fan. He loved animals from an early age and had the ability to learn to ride a horse on his own.

He was a talented woodworker making luxury bird houses as a hobby and can truly fix anything. He enjoyed teaching his daughters as they were growing up to learn how to work with tools. He loved to volunteer his building skills to local churches and charities such as the Clifford Township Historical Society and the Clifford Township Children's Garden. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Clifford Township Volunteer Fire Company picnic.

Most of all Jerry loved his time spent with his family. He always tried to make them laugh and be a positive influence in everyone’s lives.

He is also survived by three daughters: Leslie Bone and husband, Lanier of Pine Mountain Valley, GA, Stacy Lundeen of Sartell, MN and Renee Stavridis of Bethel, CT; four grandchildren: Anna, Benjamin and Lucas Lundeen and Blake McAndrew; one sister: Patricia Lysak and husband, Daniel; one aunt: Joann Lewandowski of Kingsley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his brother: Rick Lewandowski; and his uncle Norman Lewandowski.

A viewing will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. with a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, officiated by Elder Joseph Venne.
