Jeanne M. Martin, 72, a resident of the Osprey Ridge Nursing Home in Carbondale, PA., for the past year and a former resident of Railroad Street in Simpson, PA., died Tuesday evening, September 18, 2007 at Select Specialty Hospital at Geisinger in Danville, PA., after an extended illness. Born June 13, 1935 in Wilkes-Barre, PA., she was the daughter of the late John G. and Ruth E. Carden Lynady. She was a graduate of St. Rose High School and a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She is survived by one daughter: Margaret Pat Rocco of Wappingers Falls, NY.; two brothers: Jack Lynady, Sr. of Ormond Beach, FL. and Robert Lynady of Wyoming, PA.; 3 Grandsons. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald and Thomas Lynady. A blessing service was held Friday, September 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Rev. Russell Motsay, pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale, officiating. Interment, Jermyn Cemetery, Jermyn, PA. Cremation took place at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Friends called Friday, September 28, 2007 from 10:00 AM till the time of service.
