Jean C. Laguzzi, 65, of Browndale, PA., died Tuesday morning, June 29, 2010 at the Forest City Nursing Home, Forest City, PA., after a lengthy illness. Her husband of 45 years is Anthony S. Laguzzi.
Born November 13, 1944 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late John (Jack Cost) and Genevieve (Dutchman) Costantino.
She was a 1962 graduate of St. Rose High School, Carbondale. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Community of Forest City, a 25 year member of the Forest City Ambulance and the Ladies Auxillary of the Browndale Fire Company. She was also an EMT instructor for the Bradford and Susquehanna county EMS and had received an award for 25 years of service. She was also an instructor for the American Red Cross. She was formerly employed as an EMT for Donahue Ambulance in Scranton, PA.
She enjoyed baking and cooking.
She is survived by one son: Stephen Laguzzi and companion Ina of Browndale, PA.; one sister: Mary Carol Neil and husband John of Davie, FL.; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Jacqueline Pechusick and Sally Jackson.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 741 Delaware Street, Forest City. Inurnment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City.
Friends called Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA.
