Jean Marie Gibser, 86, of Kingsley, PA, died Friday afternoon, January 24, 2020 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born February 6, 1933 in Susquehanna, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary VanDuser Mahaffey. Jean was raised in Susquehanna and was a graduate of Laurel Hill Academy. She began her working career as a medical transcriptionist at Binghamton General Hospital and later at Orlando General Hospital, Orlando, FL. Jean later retired in Zellwood, FL, where she enjoyed traveling, having visited many countries and even spending several years living and working in Saudi Arabia. She is survived by one son: Frederick Gibser and wife, Orianne of Kingsley, PA; two grandsons: Patrick Gibser and wife, Kelly of Hampton, VA and David Hughes of Kingsley, PA. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: Gabrielle Hughes. No public funeral services are planned. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA. Memorial contributions in Jean's name can be made to the donor's favorite charity.
