Jean L. Conrad, 95, formerly of Nicholson, PA and Clifford Township, PA, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Carbondale Nursing Center, Carbondale, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Conrad in 1990. Born March 11, 1923 in West Clifford, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Jessie Mead Wallace. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at the Hop Bottom Post Office for many years. She was a member of the Nicholson United Methodist Church, Nicholson, PA, and enjoyed cooking, baking, making crafts and sewing. The family would like to thank the staff of the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center for their kind and compassionate care to Jean over the past few years. She is survived by two children: Shirley Granger of Clifford Township, PA and Larry Granger and wife Cindy of Plymouth, MI; a step daughter: Vonnie Taylor and husband Robert of Kingsley, PA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Stanley, Myrle and Infant Robert Wallace; two sisters: Ruth Gumaer and Thelma Johnson.
