Jay E. Molyneaux, born July 7th, 1949 in Candor, New York, died January 31, 2017 after a battle with cancer.
Jay, a pastor of forty-six years, served churches in Buffalo, NY; White Cloud, KS; Bakersburg, PA; Montrose, PA; Bloomsburg, PA; Dalton, PA; and Clifford, PA. Jay is also widely known with farmers in Pennsylvania and New York for dehorning cattle, a job he inherited fifty years ago from his father-in-law. Jay enjoyed music, sports, and outdoor activities. He loved to preach Scripture, repair and build things, and help his friends and family.
Survived by Jay are his wife, Cathy Molyneaux, of Burnwood, PA; his son Timothy (Dayna), of Georgia; Tamara, of Florida, and Tracy (Tim), of Falls, PA; three grandsons: Erik, Garrett, and Wyatt Jay; and five siblings: Mark, Denene, Kit, Delecia, and Diedra.
Jay is predeceased by his wife, Judi Beckwith Molyneaux (4/1/50-8/11/09), his father, Robert G. Molyneaux, and his mother, Edna Jean Molyneaux.
A memorial service was held at the historic Bridgewater Baptist Church (107 Church Street) in Montrose, PA, Wednesday, February 8th at 2:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to Friends of Israel, WPEL, or Woodrow Kroll ministries.
Arrangements were entrusted to Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
