Jason R. Miller, 49, of Carbondale, PA, died Saturday, December 3, 2022 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on State Route 107 in Scott Township, PA. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Patricia Miller former Gauthier.

Born March 16, 1973 in Carbondale, PA, he is the son of Pandora Yates of Carbondale, PA.

Jason was a 1991 graduate of Carbondale Area High School and later trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. He was an accomplished chef having worked for Alexander's Family Restaurant, the Ben-Mar Restaurant and Bingham's Family Restaurant. He later obtained his CDL certification and was currently employed as a truck driver for Smith and Bunnell Trucking in Meshoppen. Jason's greatest joy and accomplishment in life was his family. He will be remembered as a hard worker who would always be there for friends and family. An eternal extrovert, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and riding quads with his wife and boys.

He is survived by two sons: Christian Miller and John Jenkins both at home; one brother: Gary Yates and wife, Christina of Clarks Summit, PA; and several cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his grandmother: Jean Upright; and his step-father: William Pearce.

A celebration of Jason's life was held on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 4-6 p.m. at the Ben-Mar Restaurant, 89 N. Main Street, Carbondale, PA.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
