Janet Ruth Blickens Taylor, 94, of Ridgewood, NJ, died Tuesday morning, November 15, 2022 at Oakland Rehab and Healthcare Center, Oakland, NJ.

Born May 2, 1928 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fuller E. Blickens, a prominent Carbondale and Clarks Summit funeral director and the late Rosella Siedler Blickens.

She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and attended the University of Scranton. A resident of northern New Jersey for many years she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed in the sales and design of fine jewelry, having worked for Paramus Diamond Center, Paramus, NJ.

She is survived by two daughters: Judy Taylor of Hawthorne, NJ and Jill Tersten and husband, Ken of Casa Grande, AZ; one brother: Donald Blickens of Bourne, MA; four grandchildren: Joshua Taylor, Bronwyn Lennon, Trysten Alexander and Evan Tersten; five great grandchildren: Aoife Lennon, Niahm Lennon, Lucille Tersten, Lee Tersten and Marceline Tersten; three nieces: Dorothy Blickens, Melissa Winks and Donna Driggers.

She was also preceded in death by her son: John Taylor, Jr. and her former husband: John Burton Taylor, Sr.

Janet will be buried next to her mother in the Blickens family plot at the Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA.
