Janet H. Clarke, 87, of Syracuse, NY, died Tuesday, March 22, 2022 after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's. Born February 20, 1935 in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Helen Ogden Hane. Janet was a native of Poughkeepsie and received her nursing degree from Russell Sage College in Troy. She had been employed as a registered nurse. She later settled in Syracuse to raise her family. She loved gardening, cats, and spending time in the Adirondacks. She will be deeply missed by her family. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Peter Clarke; three children: Teresa (Brian), Jim (Floradell), and Susan (Brad); six grandsons: Tim (Meaghan), Luke, Tom, Mike, Con and Quinn; a great-granddaughter: Maeve Janet. Private services were held at the family's convenience. Arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
