Jane E. Shust, age 66, of Greenfield Township, PA., passed away early Monday morning, December 26, 2005 at the Hospice Preferred Choice at Mid Valley Hospital, Peckville, PA. She was the wife of John Shust. The just celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in September.
Born May 8, 1939 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Leo and Irene (Lloyd) McGurrin.
She was a member of the Finch Hill Baptist Church in Greenfield Township where she taught Sunday School and was very active with many church activities. She was a graduate of Scott Township High School and worked as a seamstress for several local dress factories. She owned and raised miniature horses and took great pride in showing them. She also enjoyed traveling very much.
She is survived by one son: Joseph wife Barbara Shust of Greenfield Township, PA.; one sister: Kathryn Burdick of South Gibson, PA.; one brother: Lee McGurrin of Elkdale, PA; two grandchildren: Daniel Kristin Shust of Greenfield Township, PA.; Several Nieces Nephews
She was preceded in death by one brother: Raymond Spike McGurrin.
The funeral was held Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Finch Hill Baptist Church, Route 106, Greenfield Township, with the Rev. Daniel Henwood, pastor, officiating. Interment, Sandy Banks Cemetery, Greenfield Township.
Friends called Wednesday, December 28, 2005 from 2-4 7-9 PM at the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, PA.
Pallbearers: Daniel Shust, Randy Wallis, Jeff Wallis, Lloyd Burdick, Peter Keen, Robert Lynch, Ken Goodrich and Douglas Goodrich.
