James D. Stinson, age 81, a resident of Brighten at Julia Ribaudo, Lake Ariel, PA., died late Thursday evening, January 26, 2012 at the Northeast Pennsylvania Hospice, Scranton, PA. Born December 18, 1930 in Charleston, SC., he was the son of the late Amadee and Bertha M. (Snyder) Stinson. He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He worked as a roofer for 25 years with his brother's company, Stinson Roofing, Pemberton, NJ. He is survived by one brother: Gerald Stinson of Newfoundland, PA.; one sister: Linda Earls, NJ.; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister: Shirley Ann Stinson; one brother: Fred Stinson. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
