Obituary

James E. Mullisky, 73, of Carbondale, PA, died Monday morning, March 15, 2021 at home after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, the former Bette Lou Rosler. They were married on May 14, 1982. Born February 3, 1948 in Carbondale, PA, he was the last surviving child of the late Thomas "Whitey" and Helen Sadusky Mullisky. Jimmy was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. Prior to his disability, he had been employed at the Tobyhanna Army Depot and later at Hamlin Outdoor Furniture. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 4712, Simpson. Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and rabbit hunting. He will be fondly remembered as a talented woodworker and his amazing creations made from a simple piece of wood will be cherished by family and friends. He could be counted on to fix anything but will be deeply missed for his quick wit, keen sense of humor and especially his kind heart. He is survived by a son: Jameson Mullisky of Carbondale; a step daughter: Karen Griffin- Roberts of Carbondale; a granddaughter: Chelsea Castle and fiancé, Brian Farley of Eynon; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a step daughter: Brenda Kahn, two brothers: Thomas, Jr. and Martin Mullisky; three sisters: Joan Hendrickson and Ann and Lucille Mullisky. As per Jimmy's request, he was cremated and no services were held. His wishes were to be entombed at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Arrangements were entrusted to Edward A.
