James T. Greenfield age 85, a resident of the Gracedale Nursing Home, Gracedale Avenue, Nazareth, and formerly of 2239 Lincoln Street, Bethlehem, died early Saturday morning, January 4, 2003 at the nursing home. His wife is the former Wanda K. Zapotocki, who died January 18, 1997.
Born October 27, 1917 in Bethlehem, PA. He was the son of the late J.J. and Lyda (Bacon) Greenfield.
He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Prior to his retirement he owned and operated Stanley Window Cleaning Company, Bethlehem. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Airforce. He was a former member of the Fraternal Eagles and the Lincoln Fire Company, both of Bethlehem.
He is survived by two daughters: Wanda Millhouse of Idaho Falls, ID. and Joan Greenfield of Forest City, PA.; 2 Grandchildren; 1 Great Granddaughter; Nieces Nephews
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Frank, Joseph and Robert Greenfield; one sister: Catherine Rust
The funeral was held Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with mass at 9:30 am in St. Rose Of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Kevin Mulhern, Pastor. Interment, Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
