James Fofi, 53, of Waymart, PA and formerly of Upper Powderly Street, Carbondale, PA, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at home after a brief illness.
Born May 14, 1961 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of Rose Marie Warhola Fofi of Waymart and the late Eugene Fofi, Sr.
Jimmy was a very special person who was very loving and caring. He was a wonderful child and his mother's pride and joy. He will be deeply missed by his loving family, especially his mom who took care of him everyday for the past 53 years.
He is survived by a niece: Jennifer Ostroski and husband Marc of Waymart, PA; a nephew: Joseph Fofi and wife Angela of Archbald, PA and a niece: Michelle Fofi of Olyphant, PA; several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by one brother: Eugene Fofi, Jr.; one sister: Donna Marie Howell.
The funeral was held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. John C. O'Bell, associate pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
