Obituary

James D. Jimbo Denney, Jr. age 21, of 89 North Scott Street, Carbondale, died Sunday October 6, 2002 at home. Born June 30, 1981, in Scranton PA. He was the son of James D. Denney, Sr., New Jersey, and Debra Esgro, Carbondale. He was a graduate of the Carbondale Area High School and was currently enrolled in Johnsons College, Scranton. Jim loved life and living it fully from a smiling baby to a joyful adult. He went through his years making the most of life. He loved sports, school, the outdoors and making the most out of each day. He loved once again becoming a full time student, beginning a new journey of discovering what he wanted to be. He loved his newly purchased 1987 Firebird coupe and the chance to drive it as he enjoyed--fast. He loved music-festivals, concerts, (especially Woodstock, past and present). He loved his collection of crystallized rocks that were the colors of a rainbow. He loved his guitar and bongos and being outdoors under the stars. He loved his long blonde hair and his individuality-he knew who he was and kept true to his beliefs. He loved people and had friends and family that knew Jim to be a gentle, loving, and honest person. Jim was a wonderful son, brother, godson, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Most of all he was Jimbo, whose spirit and soul will be so greatly missed but whose life here on Earth has left it a better place. Well miss you Jim. He is survived by one sister: Danielle Denney of Carbondale, PA.; one brother: Joseph Esgro of Carbondale, PA.; maternal grandparents: Dominick and Mary (Fox) Esgro of Greenfield Twp., PA.; a step father: Thomas Powell of Carbondale, PA.; his girlfriend: Kristy Ryczak of Mayfield, PA.; Nieces, Nephews and Cousins He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents: Myron and Lola (Lovelace) Denney. The funeral was held Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at 8:00 pm from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, celebrated by Florida Theologian, Benjamin Tolerico. Cremation followed at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA, Viewing was held Wednesday, October 9, 2002 from 5-8 pm.
