James A. Canzano, age 54, a resident of Carbondale, PA. for the past 20 years and formerly of Jersey City, NJ., died Saturday evening, August 13, 2011 at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. Born May 4, 1957 in Jersey City, NJ., he is the son of Nicolas Canzano of Secaucus, NJ. and the late Catherine (Holden) Canzano. He was a graduate of William L. Dickinson High School, Jersey City, NJ. and attended Jersey City Community College for one year. He currently was employed for the past 15 years at Hendrick Manufacturing, Carbondale as a multi press operator and also worked for RR Donnelley, formerly of Dunmore, PA., as an operations manager and HM International Freight Company, Jersey City, NJ. As a child, he loved playing baseball and was a Hudson All County Baseball Champion. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Carbondale and was an avid Yankee, Giants, Knicks and Syracuse fan. He is survived by one son: Marc James Canzano of Carbondale, PA.; two daughters: Jamie Canzano of North Bergen, NJ. and Lizabeth Canzano of Secaucus, NJ.; two granddaughters: Destini Rose Barkasy and Neela Chiaro; two grandsons: RaJon Chiaro, Jr. and Rocco Chiaro; one sister: Christine Morrisey of Secaucus, NJ.; one brother: Nicholas Canzano and wife Jane of East Rutherford, NJ.; one niece: Kristin Pinyan; one nephew: Michael Canzano; two ex-wives: Avaline Chiaro of Carbondale, PA. and Lizabeth Bonilla of New Jersey; friend: Kelly Heenan of Carbondale, PA.; sister-in-law: Nevada Chiaro of Carbondale, PA. A blessing service was held Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Rev. John C. O'Bell, associate pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, officiating. Cremation followed. Friends called Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 2-4 7-9 PM.
