John "Jack" Arp, 20, of Dickson City, PA, died suddenly on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 of natural causes.

Jack was born on December 30, 2004 in Scranton, PA, and was a graduate of Scranton High School and the Universal Technical Institute where he studied automotive technology. Jack had been employed as an auto mechanic and he enjoyed camping and gaming. He will be fondly remembered for his kind and generous heart and his willingness to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his mother: Karen Schemel and fiancé, Dr. Joseph Lombardi, O.D.; three sisters: Shannon Rosler and fiancé, Matthew Abbott and Alyssa and Tori Bigelow; one brother: Kristopher Schemel and wife, Pear; an uncle: Sean Schemel and wife, Jennifer; an aunt: Kristen Schemel and fiancé, Brian Katchmore; a cousin: Mikaylaa Katchmore; and nieces and nephews: Kirin, Alex, Josie, Declan and Davina.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: John and Carole Dottle Schemel.

A celebration of Jack's life will be held at a future date.
