Irving H. Ball, 90, of Iselin, NJ, died Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. His wife, the former, Ann Marie Erzin, preceded him in death on May 15, 1971. Born October 23, 1927 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Irving "Jim" and Edna Ashby Ball. After high school, Irving enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He worked as a shipping clerk for General Motors in New Jersey for 30 years, prior to his retirement. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Teamsters and V.F.W. in Iselin, NJ. He is survived by one daughter: Diane Ball and husband Paul McHugh of Burlington, NJ; one son: James Ball of Erial, NJ; two grandsons: Justin and Timothy McHugh of Burlington, NJ; numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth and Arnold Wolfram; three sisters: Rose Keen, Jay Goodwin and Helen Lilje. A private graveside service was held at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Simpson, PA. Arrangements were under the direction of the Shilfer-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Carbondale, PA.
