Irene McGurrin age 85, formerly of Greenfield Twp. and Elkdale, died Tuesday morning, May 21, 2002 at the Mid Valley Hospice Unit, Peckville. She was the widow of Leo Cobb McGurrin who died January 10, 1993. Born April 29, 1917 in Preston Center, PA. She was the daughter of the late Glenn and Iva (Whipple) Lloyd. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Robert Cory, and her second step-father, William Tarkett. She was a member of the Finch Hill Baptist Church, Greenfield Twp. She was also a member of the Missionary Society and the Elkdale Grange. McGurrin of Elkdale, PA.; 3 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by one son: Raymond Spike McGurrin and one grandaughter, Kelsey Burdick The funeral was held Thursday, May 23, 2002 at 10:00 am from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, celebrated by the Rev. Jack Race. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford. Viewing was held Wednesday, May 22, 2002 from 6-9.
