Obituary

Irene F. Miller, age 71, of Honesdale, PA. formerly of Carbondale, PA., died Friday morning, August 20, 2010 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. She is the wife of Anthony J. Miller, Jr. They were married July 21, 1958. Born June 27, 1939 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Herbert F. and Cecelia (Washeleski) Staple. She attended Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and Marywood University, Scranton, PA. She worked as a Teacher's Aide for the Lackawanna County Headstart, Scranton and The Country Auction, Honesdale. She was a member of the Cast Aways Square Dance Club, Carbondale and was an avid gardner. She also enjoyed Nascar and attending auctions. She is survived by three daughters: Debbie Brunori and husband Fred of Scott Township, PA., Casey Brew and husband William of Carbondale, PA. and Michelle Miller of Carbondale, PA.; two sons: Mark Miller and wife Laurie of Union Dale, PA. and Anthony Miller and fiance' Barbara Williams of Honesdale, PA.; one sister: Norrice Vadala of Carbondale, PA.; one brother: Thomas Staple of Simpson, PA.; eight grandchildren: Camber Castellano, Justin Roberts, Kendall Brew, William Brew, Mark Miller, Fred Brunori, Caroline Miller and Jaclyn Williams-Boring; three great grandchildren: Mauri, Alex and Cooper Castellano; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Monday, August 23, 2010, from 6-8 PM at the Edward A. Wade Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Morris Place at Terrace Street, Carbondale. Cremation followed at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the Honesdale National Bank, c/o Shane Rickard Medical Fund.
