Irene A. Colandro, age 71, of Carbondale, PA. died early Friday morning, February 18, 2005 at home following an illness. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Colandro, who died March 18, 1996. Born March 24, 1933 in Jessup, PA. She was the daughter of the late John and Rose Marie (Spernoga) Zenich. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Carbondale. She was a graduate of Archbald High School. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary and VFW in Carbondale. She was a cook at the Peanut Bar in Carbondale which is a family owned business by her daughter and son-in-law. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be sadly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to: Asera Care Hospice 749 Northern Boulevard Clarks Summit, Pa 18411 She is survived by four daughters: Hope Fogarty husband Matthaus Atkinson of Carbondale, PA., Noel husband Rick Langley of Lake Harmony, PA, Robin Lavelle of Carbondale, PA. and Johna husband Billy Moran of Carbondale, PA.; three sons: Mark wife Wendy Brenzel of Carbondale, PA., Brian wife Melanie Brenzel of Montdale, PA. and Jody wife Sharon Brenzel of Carbondale, PA.; 15 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces Nephews She was preceded in death by one son: Keith Christopher Brenzel; one sister: Rose Marie Lubanski A memorial mass was held Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 9:30 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. William D. Campbell, assistant pastor. Inurnment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Cremation took place at Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Funeral arrangements were entrusted under the care of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale.
